Entry to Arena: In order to provide efficient entry, students and guests will need to enter the Tex Turner Arena through the main doors on the upper concourse. Once inside the arena, staff and ushers will be available to direct graduates and guests to the proper meeting location.
Entry to the lower level of the arena will be through the main door off of the lower parking lot. This entrance will be designated for faculty, platform party, and staff working commencement.
* Q: Do I need tickets?
A: Our Commencement Ceremony takes place in Tex Turner Arena, with more than enough seating for everyone to enjoy this special day. No tickets are required, but make sure you arrive early enough to claim your seats.
* Q: Where should we stay?
A: There are several hotels in the area that will be pleased to accommodate your stay.
*Q: What happens if I have a balance on my student account?
A: All financial accounts with the University must be settled in order to participate in the ceremony, and participation is required for receipt of the degree. If you have an outstanding account, please clear the account by April 24 , 2020, to avoid any delays at rehearsal.
*Q: Where and when can I take pictures?
A: Professional photographers will be on hand to capture your big day (see below). Your family is welcome to take pictures, however, once the ceremony begins, we ask that guests do not enter the arena floor or block the aisles of the arena. Additionally, while pictures can be taken in front of the stage after the ceremony, the stage itself will not be accessible for safety reasons.
*Q: Will there be professional pictures taken?
A: A professional photographer will be photographing all graduates at a minimum of three locations including receiving your diploma, shaking hands with the President, and a graduate portrait with your diploma after exiting the stage.
