Crystal Wilkinson is the author of “The Birds of Opulence,” “Water Street” and “Blackberries, Blackberries.”
They will treat the audience to a dazzling tour of chamber music treasures from 18th century London, performed on instruments of the period.
The awards will be given out on Sept. 27, 2018, at the IBMA World of Bluegrass Convention in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Hub New Music is a contemporary, classical ensemble with a unique instrumentation of flute, clarinet, violin and cello.
Appalachian Book of the Year Awards Presented
The prize is $1,500 and is awarded to an Appalachian writer who shows overwhelming promise in the continuation of great writing in the region.
