Student Research Form
All LMU-DCOM students that wish to participate in a research project must complete the Student Research Project form. This form should be submitted to the Administrative Assistant for Basic Medical Sciences/DCOM Research and the DCOM Director of Research prior to initiating the project. If the project requires IRB, IACUC, or IBCSC approval, then the appropriate forms must also be submitted.
Any student that would like to request approval for travel to a conference/meeting should first fill out the Student Abstract Submission Approval Request form and submit it to the Administrative Assistant for Basic Medical Sciences/DCOM Research. This form should be submitted BEFORE an abstract is sent to a conference/meeting, and must include a copy of the abstract that is being submitted.
Once the Student Abstract Submission Approval Request form has been reviewed and approved by the Director of Research and the Associate Dean of Preclinical Academic Affairs/Basic Medical Sciences, the student can then submit the abstract to the conference/meeting. If the student would like to request funds for travel to the conference/meeting, a Student Research Travel Funds Request form should be filled out after abstract approval has been obtained, and this form should be submitted to the Administrative Assistant for Basic Medical Sciences/DCOM Research for review and approval.
