The PA program at LMU-DCOM offers graduate level professional education for students who desire to become Physician Assistants. The program provides the academic and clinical training needed to practice as a competent, reliable extender of the physician. The program is a full-time, 27-month curriculum that provides students the opportunity to earn a Master of Medical Science degree and certificate of completion to meet the eligibility requirements for the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination (PANCE). The PA program only provides classes at the Harrogate campus.

LMU-DCOM's PA Program is a participant of CASPA (Central Application Service for Physician Assistants) ( The current application cycle through CASPA will reopen around April 24, 2018. The class that will begin May 2019, the CASPA application deadline is November 1, 2018.  The supplemental application deadline is December 1, 2018, and must be postmarked by this date. Applications will not be processed until both the CASPA and LMU-DCOM supplemental application is received.

Professional Accreditation

The Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) has granted Accreditation-Continued status to the Lincoln Memorial University Physician Assistant Program sponsored by Lincoln Memorial University. Accreditation-Continued is an accreditation status granted when a currently accredited program is in compliance with the ARC-PA Standards.

Accreditation remains in effect until the program closes or withdraws from the accreditation process or until accreditation is withdrawn for failure to comply with the Standards. The approximate date for the next validation review of the program by the ARC-PA will be March 2022. The review date is contingent upon continued compliance with the Accreditation Standards and ARC-PA policy.


Upon successful completion of the PA program, students will be awarded a Master of Medical Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies (MMS) from LMU-DCOM and a Certificate of Completion. The graduate is then eligible to sit for the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination (PANCE). This examination is administered through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
