The Critical Care Emergency Medical Transport and the Ventilator management Course is offerered through the LMU-DCOM Center for Simulation & Training Center. Continuing Education Courses are offered at request and there are a wide variety of topics that can be chosen for your needs.



Med Med

The Critical Care Paramedic Program is designed to prepare Paramedics to function as members of a critical care transport team. The Critical Care Paramedic is needed for Critical injured or ill patients requiring transport between facilities or from the emergency pre-hospital environment. Participants will gain an understanding of the special needs of critical care patients during transport, become familiar with the purpose and mechanisms of critical care specialized equipment and procedures.

The Transport Ventilator Management Course is designed to fulfill the State of Tennessee Department of Health, Office of Emergency Medical Services, requirements for paramedics to safety and effectively transport critical and non-critical patients that are ventilator dependent. Objectives for this course will be accomplished in a 16-hour didactic presentation including lectures and clinical labs as outlined in the State of Tennessee Department of Health, Office of Emergency Medical Services training curriculum for Inter-facility Transport with Mechanical Ventilators.
